Over P145-M initial cost of damage to infra by ‘Agaton’

Over PHP145 million was reported damaged caused by Tropical Depression Agaton to infrastructure in Region 13, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported on Wednesday. Based on the DPWH data, some PHP145.390 million — roads (PHP118.390 million) and bridges (PHP27 million) — was just partial. Antique PDRRMO personnel to help in Iloilo, Capiz rescue ops

Rescuers of the Antique Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) are on their way to assist in the ongoing rescue operations in Iloilo and Capiz provinces that suffered from floodings due to Tropical Depression Agaton’s heavy rains. Antique PDRRMO chief Broderick Train said in an interview they received a letter of request from the Office of the Civil Defense in Western Visayas (OCD 6) for assistance on Tuesday night and again another letter reiterating the request only on Wednesday morning. “We will first report to the OCD Regional Office 6 to get instructions about our deployment,” he said.

Local solar firm taps IPO to fund 2 new projects

Pampanga-based renewable energy developer Raslag Corp. is tapping the stock market to raise funds for its two solar projects — Raslag 4 and 5. In a virtual media roundtable Wednesday, Raslag president and chief executive officer Peter Nepomuceno said the company would run its initial public offering (IPO) from May 24 to 30, while listing is set on June 6 this year.
