DAR taps 2 ARB groups in NegOcc in drive vs. malnutrition

The Department of Agrarian Reform-Western Visayas (DAR-6) has tapped the services of two agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in Negros Occidental in supplying food requirements to target children-beneficiaries under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program. These include the Minuro Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Victorias City, and the Negros Island Federation of Agrarian Reform Cooperatives in Valladolid town. Showcasing the primary product the town is known for, the local government unit (LGU) organized Monday the “alimango” (crab) cooking contest at the municipal ground as part of its 73rd founding anniversary. A magnitude 5.3 earthquake shook several parts of Leyte Island early Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported. Zambo City marks 88.9% full vax status

Health authorities here have administered a total of 1,285,443 doses of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines since the vaccination rollout in March last year, or an 88.98 percent achievement rate. Data provided by the city health office (CHO) on Monday also showed that 647,462 were administered their first dose, or 90.30 percent accomplishment. At least 637,981 were given their second dose. The Department of Health (DOH)-set target population for vaccination in the city is at 716,960.
