DOLE-12 warns public vs. fraudsters in livelihood, crisis grants

The Department of Labor and Employment in Soccsksargen (DOLE-12) cautioned the public Monday against malicious individuals who demand money in exchange for granting of the agency’s livelihood and emergency assistance programs. NegOcc, Bacolod City deploy shuttles amid transport strike

The Negros Occidental provincial government and the Bacolod city government have deployed shuttle services for their respective employees affected by the two-day transport starting Monday. Provincial administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said Capitol Cab vehicles and buses are transporting workers who have no means of travel to their places of work. “The buses pick them up at a certain time and bring them to the workplace on or before 8 a.m. and after work, a reverse procedure will follow,” he added. The new Meycauayan-Marilao East Service Road was formally opened to the public on Monday. The new two-lane, 190-meter service road with a budget of PHP198 million, will serve as an alternative route going in and out of Marilao town and Meycauayan City. The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Program (DA-PRDP) has recently opened the longest road network in Davao Oriental, expected to boost agriculture and economic productivity in rural villages.
