4.7K agrarian reform beneficiaries in NegOcc get land titles

At least 4,754 farmer-beneficiaries in Negros Occidental received certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) during the distribution rites conducted by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Sipalay City on Tuesday. The recipients, from 17 municipalities and cities, were awarded 4,729 hectares of agricultural lands with 8,259 CLOAs under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). SEC warns public on ‘investment scams’ in NorMin

The Security and Exchange Commission – Cagayan de Oro Extension Office (SEC-CDOEO) has issued a public advisory on 27 firms allegedly running “investment scams”. The advisory about the 27 suspicious investment firms without appropriate SEC licenses was posted on the Facebook page of the Department of Trade and Industry-Bukidnon on Tuesday. Stocks recover ahead of earnings reports; peso weakens

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) recovered on Tuesday but the peso weakened against the US dollar. The local stock barometer rose by 1.06 percent, or 77.93 points, to 7,458.23 points. Multisectoral group launches campaign vs. online sex trafficking

Multisectoral organizations from the government and private entities launched here Tuesday a campaign against online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC). The #NotOnOurScreens campaign aims to cultivate a culture of vigilance against the trafficking of Filipino children through the creation and propagation of child sexual exploitation material. Execs optimistic of ‘Build, Build, Build’ continuity

Authorities are optimistic for the implementation of most infrastructure projects proposed under the government’s “Build, Build, Build” program after noting the project’s long-term impact on the economy.
