The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is hoping more women would take part in all levels of climate change development planning, as well as in disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM). DOE seeks EO to suspend duty on coal imports

The Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking the issuance of an executive order (EO) to suspend import duty on coal outsourced from countries outside the Asean-India Free Trade Agreement (AIFTA). DOE Secretary Alfonso Cusi made the statement amid the skyrocketing global oil prices that can also affect power rates in the coming months. “For coal, the tariff –the 7 percent tariff– on coal importation from non AIFTA, there is 7 percent duty. Swedish Olympic champion Armand Duplantis on Monday broke his own world record in men’s pole vault. The 22-year-old cleared 6.19 meters (20.3 feet) at the 2022 World Indoor Tour Silver meeting in the Serbian capital Belgrade to set a new record.
