‘Huaning’ leaves PAR

Tropical Storm “Huaning” has left the Philippine Area of responsibility as of 5 p.m., a bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Saturday. Based on all available data, the center of “Huaning” was estimated at 585 kilometers (km) north northeast of Itbayat, Batanes. It had sustained maximum winds of 65 km per hour near the center. 2 PCOO execs among NDCP’s E-MNSA pioneer graduates

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Undersecretary Kristian Ablan and Assistant Secretary Omar Romero are among the first batch to complete the Executive Master in National Security Administration (E-MNSA) Program of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP). In a press statement, the NDCP said it has produced 42 graduates who completed the pioneer class of –E-MNSA this school year. The 42 graduates, composed of officials and leaders from national government agencies, local government units, international development organizations, academe, and the private sector, graduated in a simple ceremony at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand in Camp Gen. NCRPO mobile kitchens aid ECQ-affected families

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has deployed its mobile catering assets to help Metro Manila residents affected by the ongoing enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said their Mobile KTB (Kusina, Tele-Eskwela and Barangayanihan) rollout began on Saturday, the second day of the ECQ that will last until Aug. 20. “Our Mobile KTBs are providing hot meals, health kits, and mineral water to the street children, homeless, and street sweepers around the Metro. 20.5K violators apprehended, warned amid stricter restrictions

More than 20,000 individuals were apprehended, fined, and warned for various violations of public health and safety guidelines on the first day of implementation of the stricter quarantine classifications in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, collectively known as “NCR Plus bubble”.
