Oil price rollback set Aug. 6

MANILA: Oil companies will reduce fuel prices on Tuesday, implementing rollbacks for diesel and kerosene prices for four straight weeks. In separate advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petro Gazz, Seaoil, and Shell said they will slash gasoline prices by 10 centavos per liter and 20 cents per liter for diesel. Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will also cut kerosene prices by 45 cents per liter. Other oil firms are expected to follow suit. DOH notes 40% rise of dengue cases in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY: The Department of Health-Center for Health Development in Bicol (DOH-CHD-5) is urging the public to practice the “4S” strategy to combat dengue after the region logged a 40-percent increase in cases compared to the same period last year. In a report on Monday, the agency said there were 715 cases from Jan. 1 to July 13, whereas 512 dengue cases were recorded for the same period in 2023. Lorry Driver Caught With Extra Tank Of Subsidised Diesel

PENAMPANG, A driver was caught red-handed and his lorry confiscated after his extra tank of 206 litres of subsidised diesel fuel was suspected to be used for embezzlement, said Sabah director of Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Georgie Abas. PUTRAJAYA, The Election Commission (EC) has issued 43 postal ballot papers to eligible voters for the Nenggiri state by-election in Kelantan.
