Masbate: The Philippine Navy has deployed two of its landing craft vessels to deliver relief goods and construction materials to communities in Masbate and Cebu hit by natural calamities. In separate missions, the BRP Agta (LC-290) transported 44.66 tons of construction materials to Masbate City on Saturday to aid in the rehabilitation of areas battered by Typhoon Opong. The quake, tectonic in origin, was recorded at 9:45 a.m. with its epicenter located 63 kilometers northwest of Currimao and had a depth of 10 kilometers. Zamboanga peninsula: Authorities have arrested 213 fugitives and seized 197 loose firearms in their month-long law enforcement operations across Zamboanga Peninsula in September, a top police official announced Sunday. According to Philippines News Agency, Brig. Gen.
