The city government ordered the closure of all public cemeteries in the city on Nov. 1 (All Saints Day) and implemented a per-district schedule for visits to the tombs of the departed from Oct. 23 to Nov. 5. Some 19 students and four teachers in various schools in Mati City, Davao Oriental, have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) since the start of face-to-face classes in August.
