TESDA offers construction training to rebuild houses in NegOcc

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will offer scholarships for construction-related training programs to produce force multipliers and to speed up the reconstruction of typhoon-damaged houses in Negros Occidental. BARMM educ execs condemn killing of district supervisor

Officials of the education department in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on Wednesday condemned the killing of schools district supervisor Javier Kumandi Sr. in Tacurong City on January 17. In a statement Wednesday, Minister Mohagher Iqbal of the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE)–BARMM said they wanted justice to be served for the death of Kumandi. “The shooting incident was heart-rending and tragic,” Iqbal said. DOH detects 332 local, 160 ROF Omicron cases

A total of 492 new cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus have been detected from the 714 samples sequenced last January 14, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Wednesday.
