BOC puts 5 luxury cars worth P30-M in public action

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) will be selling through a public auction five used luxury cars with a total floor price of some PHP30 million. In a Facebook post, the bureau said the vehicles that will be available for sale are Porsche Boxster 2001, three Mercedes Benz (SLK55 and SLK350 both 2001 model, and E220, 2011) and Ferrari Scuderia 430, 2008. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) office in Zambales-Olongapo City gave Bagwis awards to five product retailers that extended outstanding customer service for the year 2021. DTI officer-in-charge provincial director Enrique Tacbad said in a statement on Thursday that the DTI-Bagwis Program recognizes establishments that protect the rights of consumers while promoting quality customer relations through the Consumer Welfare Desks (CWDs). Broodstock, hatchery facilities to boost PH aquaculture industry

The new PHP23-million broodstock and hatchery facilities at the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC/AQD) in Tigbauan, Iloilo are expected to boost the supply of aquaculture in Western Visayas and the country as a whole. Despite the World Bank announcement on the discontinuation of its Doing Business Report, the Philippines will pursue reforms in ease of doing business. The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) said the country will now have a “localized version of the Doing Business Report” of the World Bank by launching the Philippine Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Reporting System. “We believe that what the World Bank has been doing is good for the country’s competitiveness ranking,” ARTA deputy director general Ernesto Perez said during the EODB Summit in Quezon City Thursday.
