President Rodrigo Duterte has formally accepted his nomination as the official vice presidential candidate of the ruling party, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), for the 2022 national elections. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has ordered the group of Senators Aquilino Pimentel III and Manny Pacquiao to answer the petition filed by the faction of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) led by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi. Taking a cue from its neighboring institution, the Isabela State University (ISU) has also pulled out 23 National Democratic Front (NDF) handbooks from the library of its main campus in this town.
