ECOP to start inoculation under 1M Jobs Project

The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) will start the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination for its member workers on Wednesday. In a statement Monday, the ECOP said the vaccination rollout is part of the “Reform. Rebound. Recover: 1M Jobs (1MJ) Project” that aims to create 1 million new jobs by end of the year despite the pandemic. The 1MJ Project is in partnership with the government’s National Employment Recovery Strategy (NERS) Task Force and other industry players. QC workers displaced by pandemic get livelihood training

Quezon City residents who lost their jobs during the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic and have remained unemployed received livelihood assistance from the city government on Monday. The Pangkabuhayang QC, a livelihood training and financial assistance program for unemployed residents, was launched at the Quezon Memorial Circle. About 200 beneficiaries composed of hog raisers, sewers, vendors, farmers, parents of children with disabilities, and jeepney drivers received financial assistance from the city government. Over 235K vaccine doses administered in Zamboanga City

A total of 235,835 doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered to the city’s residents, with almost 15 percent of the target population now fully protected against the disease. Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, city health officer, said that 135,737 residents representing 19.39 percent of the target population of 700,000 received their first dose while 100,098 persons or 14.29 percent of the target population are now protected with the required two doses.
