Manila:The Department of Energy (DOE) confirmed that it has issued a payment to AmiananPH, the company responsible for providing artisan gifts at the ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting held from October 5 to 9. The check was delivered on Friday, according to a statement by the agency.
According to Philippines News Agency, AmiananPH had previously claimed on social media that there was a delay in payment from both the DOE and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the ASEAN-related souvenirs. The DOE emphasized that it maintained open communication with AmiananPH during the payment processing period. During a visit by the supplier on October 29, 2026, the DOE provided updates on the payment status and reassured the supplier that the process was being monitored and handled as scheduled.
The Department of Energy reiterated its support for local enterprises, highlighting the role of such businesses in preserving Filipino craftsmanship and supporting community livelihoods. The DOE is committed to maintaining transparency, accountability, and timely fulfillment of its obligations, also ensuring that partners are informed and any concerns are addressed promptly.
