DICT’s eGovPH Ecosystem Honored with Bronze Stevie Award for Government Innovation

Manila:The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) of the Philippines has achieved its first international recognition by securing a Bronze Stevie Award for the eGovPH ecosystem. This accolade highlights the country's advancements in public administration and governance innovation.

According to Philippines News Agency, the award was granted in the Public Administration and Governance Innovation of the Year category for the DICT's project titled "Building a contactless, paperless and cashless government The DICT eGov Ecosystem." The 2026 International Business Awards considered over 3,800 nominations from 78 countries and territories, with winners selected based on the average scores from more than 300 judges.

The eGovPH Super App, a central component of the DICT eGov Ecosystem, addresses the traditional challenges of accessing government services by consolidating them into a single digital platform. This app has achieved over 67 million downloads and facilitated more than 1.1 billion transactions. The ecosystem also includes eGovDX for secure data exchange among over 1,700 government systems, and eVerify for digital identity verification, which has processed over 370 million transactions.

In addition, the ecosystem features eGovAI, which provides AI-assisted citizen support and job matching services with more than 200 million transactions and 10 million users, as well as eGovDocs, which enables electronic approvals and secure digital signatures for over 48 million digital documents. Furthermore, eLGU offers online local government services across more than 1,100 local government units, streamlining applications for business, sanitary, and building permits.

The DICT stated that this innovative ecosystem reduces unnecessary travel, waiting times, and transportation costs by making government services accessible online. The award was officially presented at the Stevie Awards Fall Event ceremony held on October 28 at the Pullman Paris Montparnasse in Paris, France. This recognition emphasizes the significance of digital transformation as directed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to enhance the efficiency, responsiveness, and accessibility of government services.
