Berong Nickel Corporation Secures MPSA for Long Point Mine in Palawan

Berong: Berong Nickel Corporation (BNC), a subsidiary of DMCI Mining, recently signed a mineral production sharing agreement (MPSA) with the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) for its Long Point property in Aborlan, Palawan. In a statement Tuesday, DMCI said the MPSA, signed on August 8, covers around 2,177.34 hectares. According to Philippines News Agency, it grants BNC the exclusive right to explore, develop, and utilize mineral resources within the contract area. Midsayap: Police and soldiers here have launched a manhunt against two men who shot and seriously injured a school principal here at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Manila: The Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) has confiscated over PHP7 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 15 drug personalities from Aug. 4 to 10. Edwin Quilates said the 11 operations during the period resulted in the seizure of 1,000 grams of suspected shabu and 2,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves.
