LTO Apprehends Over 20K Unregistered Vehicles in June
Manila: The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has apprehended 20,307 vehicles with expired registrations in June as part of the government’s crackdown against unregistered and unsafe cars. According to Philippines News Agency, LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II, announced that aside from a PHP10,000 fine, unregistered vehicles will be impounded beginning August. He emphasized that the vehicles will remain impounded until they pass a roadworthiness inspection, highlighting this measure as crucial for the safety of road users.
