Pangasinan: The province of Pangasinan will experience heavy rainfall from Thursday to Friday due to the effects of the low pressure area (LPA) and the southwest monsoon or “habagat”, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). Biliran: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is considering raising the load capacity of Biliran Bridge following the substantial completion of major repair activities in the past four months. In a phone interview, Irwin Antonio, officer-in-charge of the DPWH Biliran District Engineering Office, said a load rating capacity assessment is set to be conducted soon on the infrastructure. Pasig city: The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is eyeing the use of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered traffic signal systems with video detectors to improve traffic flow in the metropolis.
