DSWD Appeals for Volunteers to Support Food Pack Production for Disaster Relief
Manila: The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is calling for volunteers to assist in the production of family food packs (FFPs) as part of its disaster preparedness and response efforts, which include ongoing relief operations for families affected by the unrest of Mt. Kanlaon on Negros Island. According to Philippines News Agency, the DSWD Field Office-7 – Central Visayas is seeking volunteers to aid in the production of FFPs at the Visayas Disaster Resource Center (VDRC) in Mandaue City, Cebu. This initiative aims to provide resource augmentation to the local government units impacted by the volcanic activity. The
