FBM KLCI Futures Mixed At Monday Opening

KUALA LUMPUR, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures traded mixed at the opening on Monday. As of 9.30 am, September 2024 contract was flat at 1,658.50 while October 2024 rose by 1.0 points to 1,664.5. December 2024 decreased by 4.0 points to 1,666.0, while March 2025 shed 1.5 points to 1,654.0. Turnover reached 4,058 lots, with open interest at 53,999 contracts. MAQIS Orders Return Of Container With Ice Cream Worth RM355,874 To Taiwan

BUTTERWORTH, The Penang Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (MAQIS) ordered a commercial container carrying ice cream from Taiwan worth RM355,874 to be sent back to the country of origin because it did not have a valid MAQIS import permit.
