Catholics mark 105th anniversary of Fatima Apparition

A parish priest has appealed to pray the rosary to end the global pandemic coronavirus-19 (Covid-19), and for peace to reign in the world. This was the appeal made by Fr. Carlos Reyes, parish priest of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Mandaluyong City, on the 105th anniversary of the famous Fatima Apparition on Friday. “We are in troubled times and there is a need for us to pray the Holy Rosary daily for the intercession of the Blessed Mother to end the global pandemic coronavirus-19 (Covid-19), and Russia’s invasion in Ukraine for the world to have a lasting peace.

DOH to set up Samar hospital to serve 1.2M residents

The Department of Health (DOH) 8 (Eastern Visayas) is eyeing the construction of a 300-bed tertiary hospital in Calbayog City to serve Samar Island’s three provinces, home to 1.2 million people. BFAR awards 160K tilapia fingerlings to IPs in Zambales

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) 3 (Central Luzon) has extended assistance to indigenous peoples (IPs) in Barangay Carael, Botolan, Zambales by providing them with tilapia fingerlings. In partnership with the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Infant Jesus, BFAR-3 released about 160,000 tilapia fingerlings in a fishpond being operated by the IPs.
