To create an urban green space within the Entertainment City in Parañaque City, the Nayong Pilipino Foundation (NFP) organized a tree planting activity on Friday on the occasion of National Women’s Month. In her speech, NPF Executive Director Gertie Duran-Batocabe emphasized that creating more green spaces should be part of the new normal. “As you all know, the Covid-19 pandemic has triggered important conversations about the importance of urban green spaces and how those should be designed to benefit the health and well-being of the populace,” she said. European Union (EU) leaders were unable to agree on a way to tackle rising energy prices despite marathon talks on the second day of the EU summit on Friday. “Today, we discussed energy-related matters,” European Council President Charles Michel told reporters after the summit, adding that the EU leaders “worked all day to be able to show our unity and determination.” He called the matter “very difficult,” since its impact has been “felt everywhere in Europe,” and stressed that the leaders are willing to cooperate with the European Commission and economic operators to identify “the most effective measures.” Ursula von

National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) spokesperson for sectoral concerns and Presidential Communications Undersecretary Lorraine Badoy on Saturday stood firm on her statement that “there’s no such thing as red-tagging”. This, after Lawyer Edre Olalia, president of the National Union People’s Lawyers (NUPL), said the Supreme Court (SC) has never called “red-tagging” as non-existent. Badoy remained unfazed saying that Olalia is just confusing the public to protect the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF). “He says it’s not true that our Supreme Court says there is no danger to life, liberty, and
