BSP cites importance of ‘leading the way’ on sustainable finance

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Benjamin Diokno cited the need for the central bank to lead the way in investing in sustainable finance to encourage more institutions to follow this path. The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Friday reported the seizure of an estimated PHP4.75 million worth of various agricultural products illegally smuggled into the country and sold at least two warehouses in Manila. Cavite buy-bust nets P1.21-B shabu

Police and anti-narcotics agents arrested three suspects and seized PHP1.21 billion worth of shabu in a buy-bust in Bacoor City, Cavite early Friday. In an initial report, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said suspects Jorlan San Jose, 26; Joseph Maurin, 38; and Joan Lumanog, 27, all of Dominorig, Talatag Bukidnon, yielded 149 kilograms of shabu in an operation inside a subdivision in Barangay Molino 3 at around 6:40 a.m. Also confiscated from the operation were one piece PHP1,000 genuine buy-bust money, boodle money and a mobile phone.
