Super Typhoon Uwan Disrupts Flights Across Philippines

Manila: The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) announced additional temporary airport closures as Super Typhoon Uwan continues to affect parts of the country. The airports affected include Cauayan Airport, which is closed from 11:35 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Baguio Airport from 12:24 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Monday, and Sangley Airport from 9:18 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

According to Philippines News Agency, all Area V airports remain closed. These include Bicol International Airport in Daraga, Albay; Naga, Virac, Masbate, and Daet Airports, as well as Bulan and Bacon Airports in Sorsogon. The CAAP confirmed that all flights to and from the affected airports have been cancelled or diverted.

Passengers are urged to coordinate directly with their respective airlines for real-time flight updates, rebooking options, and other travel-related concerns. Stranded passengers are receiving assistance and meals at the affected airports until flight operations can safely resume. CAAP is closely monitoring the situation and will issue further advisories as necessary.
