Zamboanga city: Authorities arrested an alleged big-time drug dealer and confiscated illegal drugs worth more than P13 million in a buy-bust on Saturday night here.
According to Philippines News Agency, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Zamboanga Peninsula Director Bryan Babang said the suspect, identified only as ‘Mike,’ was apprehended at 8:50 p.m. in Sitio San Ramon, Barangay Talisayan. The operation followed weeks of surveillance.
Authorities recovered about two kilograms of suspected shabu valued at P13.6 million, a pistol, bundles of boodle money, and other drug paraphernalia.
The suspect is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Babang said the arrest came just days after they conducted the incineration of P1.1 billion worth of illegal drugs seized across the region.
