Road Restoration and Aid Delivery Continue in Typhoon-Hit Aurora

Aurora: The Philippine Army and the provincial government are conducting continuous operations to restore critical roads and deliver aid to communities affected by recent typhoons. In a statement Tuesday, the Army’s 501st Combat Engineer Battalion (501CEB) and 91st Infantry Battalion (91IB) reported efforts to address road cuts along the Baler-Casiguran Road in Barangay Gupa, Dipaculao.

According to Philippines News Agency, the 501CEB is leading gravel hauling and debris clearing operations, while the 91IB provides manpower support, security, and logistical coordination. The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office is overseeing disaster response operations to ensure efficient resource allocation.

Lt. Col. Aries A. Quinto, commanding officer of the 91st Infantry Battalion, highlighted the importance of collaboration, stating, “This united effort demonstrates the strong partnership between the Philippine Army and the Local Government of Aurora to provide immediate relief and recovery to residents affected by the recent calamity.”

The provincial government and the Army have assured residents that restoration and relief operations will continue until normalcy returns.
