Manila: The Senate of the Philippines launched its redesigned and upgraded official website on Tuesday. Senate President Vicente Sotto III spearheaded the unveiling ceremony, emphasizing the initiative’s goal to make information more accessible and comprehensible for citizens.
According to Philippines News Agency, the new platform now features a cleaner, more modern, and user-friendly interface. It is designed to be seamless across all devices, allowing users to navigate Senate documents, bills, and resolutions with increased speed and clarity. The upgraded website also offers live broadcasts of plenary sessions and committee events, including the entire budget process, enabling the public to follow proceedings in real time.
Senate Secretary Renato Bantug Jr. highlighted that the website’s modernization reflects the institution’s dedication to transparency and civic engagement. By offering real-time information and interactive tools to all Filipinos, the Senate aims to strengthen the connection between its legislative work and the citizens it represents.
Senate IT Team Lead Lou Galban showcased the new website’s features, which include a streamlined design, device compatibility, and expanded sections detailing senators’ profiles, legislative achievements, and institutional programs. The platform also emphasizes public assistance services such as medical, social, and citizen support programs, improved tools for searching laws and resolutions, and enhanced security and system performance for quicker access.
