Rain Expected Across the Philippines Due to Two Weather Systems

Tunis:Two weather systems are predicted to bring rain to most parts of the country on Friday, as reported by the weather bureau.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has indicated that the trough of a low-pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Quezon, Marinduque, and Romblon.

Similar weather conditions are anticipated in Mindanao, the rest of the Visayas, and Palawan. Meanwhile, the northeasterly wind flow is expected to bring rain to Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.

PAGASA has issued warnings for possible flash floods and landslides in these areas due to moderate to heavy rainfall. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon are likely to experience isolated rain showers caused by thunderstorms.

In addition, PAGASA forecasts moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas in Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate, with seas ranging from slight to moderate.
