Manila: After three consecutive weeks of rollbacks, oil firms in the Philippines will increase prices starting Tuesday.
According to Philippines News Agency, major oil companies including Caltex, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, PTT, Seaoil, and Shell have announced an increase in gasoline prices by PHP1.10 per liter and diesel prices by 40 centavos per liter. Additionally, Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will implement a 40-centavo increase on kerosene prices. Other oil firms are expected to follow suit in adjusting their prices.
The Department of Energy (DOE) reported that with last week’s price adjustments, the year-to-date net increase has amounted to PHP2.15 per liter for gasoline and PHP2.85 per liter for diesel, while kerosene prices have experienced a net decrease of 70 centavos per liter. DOE data further indicates that current gasoline prices range between PHP50 and PHP76.77 per liter. Diesel prices are between PHP50 and PHP73.34 per liter, and kerosene prices fall between PHP69.64 and PHP83.69 per liter.
