King Crunchers Hope to Sustain Form in Spikers’ Turf Semis

Pasig: Criss Cross will try to sustain its momentum against Savouge at the start of the Spikers’ Turf Open Conference single round-robin semifinals at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig on Sunday. The King Crunchers, who swept the double-round preliminaries, face the Spin Doctors at 3:30 p.m.

According to Philippines News Agency, reigning MVP Jude Garcia, Jaron Requinton, Nico Almendras, Ysrael Marasigan, and Rex Intal are expected to lead Criss Cross. On the other hand, Savouge will rely on Mark Calado, Shawie Caritativo, and Madz Gampong. ‘We’ll train harder and prepare for every opponent in the semifinals. There’s no room to relax,’ Savouge head coach Sydney Calderon said in Filipino in the lead-up to the semis.

Meanwhile, the Cignal HD Spikers hope to regain their championship form against the VNS-Latr©otec Griffins at 6 p.m. The Griffins, in the semifinal round for the first time since 2022, will bank on CJ Segui, KC Culabat, and Rash Nursiddik. Spearheading Cignal are Steven Rotter, Ruvince Abrot, Martin Bugaoan, John Mark Ronquillo, and Louie Ramirez. ‘We’re locked in on the semifinals. Every point, every set, every game matters. It’s a round-robin format, and we’re back to zero. Winning as much as possible is the goal,’ Cignal head coach Dexter Clamor said.
