Manila: More than 50,000 housing units have been committed by private developers to the recalibrated Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) said Monday.
According to Philippines News Agency, the DHSUD announced that developers Raemulan Lands Inc. (RLI), 8990/Deca Homes, and Fiesta Communities Inc. are involved in horizontal socialized housing developments. RLI CEO Eileen Uy Doyle has pledged 35,656 units across the provinces of Pampanga, Cavite, Bulacan, and Laguna. Meanwhile, Fiesta CEO Christopher Ryan Tan has committed at least 6,387 units, and 8990/Deca Homes President and CEO Vincent Sotto has promised 9,498 units.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling stated that these commitments demonstrate that the 4PH Program is progressing well, particularly with the integration of horizontal developments. “This will surely boost the private sector’s confidence in the program,” he noted.
Aliling emphasized the department’s commitment to exploring all feasible modalities under the recalibrated 4PH to address a wider market and respond to stakeholder demands. He also mentioned that top DHSUD officials are currently developing guidelines for the new concept, with a focus on sustaining and improving the 4PH program, including implementing fully-digitized services to ensure efficient and comfortable service delivery.
Additionally, Aliling has issued a circular aimed at expediting the handling and resolution of homebuyers’ complaints against developers.
