DAR Distributes Land Titles and Mortgage Condonation to 5,000 Northern Mindanao Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries

MALAYBALAY CITY: The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has distributed land ownership documents and mortgage condonation certificates to 5,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Northern Mindanao. This initiative, aimed at supporting and empowering local farmers, was formalized during a ceremony in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, and marks a significant step in agrarian reform efforts in the region.

According to Philippines News Agency, the distribution ceremony was led by DAR 10 (Northern Mindanao) Director Zoraida Macadindang. The beneficiaries were presented with Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage and Certificates of Land Ownership Awards, which serve as proof of their ownership and financial relief. Additionally, qualified ARBs received “E-Titles” as part of the Support for Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) program, designed to facilitate individual land titling.

Senator Francis Tolentino, who attended the event as a guest, underscored the legislative initiatives
underway to support farmers. He remarked on the importance of continued hope and commitment to agrarian reform, noting that these efforts are aligned with the policies of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who supports the awarding of these certificates.

In a further show of support for the agricultural sector, DAR-10 handed over farm machinery and equipment valued at PHP2.5 million to agrarian reform beneficiary organizations. This provision is intended to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability, offering additional resources to benefit the farming communities in Northern Mindanao.
