Clark: The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) on Thursday vowed to accelerate aviation infrastructures at the Clark Aviation Capital to help boost the economy in the country. The Clark Aviation Capital covers some 2,367 hectares of prime government land surrounding the Clark International Airport.
According to Philippines News Agency, CIAC President Jojit Alcazar stated that the corporation will enhance aviation infrastructure and services to ensure that the Clark Aviation Capital becomes a leader in the industry. The aim is to develop a logistics hub that supports national food security through efficient transportation and distribution.
Alcazar also emphasized positioning the Clark Aviation Capital as a premier destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) to drive tourism and showcase the country’s culture and hospitality on an international stage.
The initiative includes upgrading idle lands with features such as picnic grounds, parks, and open spaces to attract
investors from aviation, cargo, and logistics sectors, as well as commercial enterprises.
In terms of commerce, Alcazar highlighted the creation of spaces intended to drive trade, business, and economic growth, aligned with sustainable urban development to build a thriving, eco-conscious community around Clark.
The CIAC also plans to secure partnerships to advance internationalization in aviation education and training.
