Pasig City: Chery Tiggo and ZUS Coffee are set to solidify their standings in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference during their clash on Thursday at the Philsports Arena. The Crossovers, spearheaded by Ces Robles, will face the in-form Thunderbelles at 4 p.m.

According to Philippines News Agency, Robles played a key role in Chery Tiggo’s recent success, delivering a 21-point performance against Farm Fresh, which featured three aces and two blocks. This victory improved the Crossovers’ record to 5-3, putting them on par with PLDT and Choco Mucho for third place. Head coach Norman Miguel plans to rely on players Ara Galang, Shaya Adorador, and Cza Carandang to maintain their momentum in the upcoming match.

Galang emphasized the importance of focusing on team movements and execution, particularly against ZUS. She stated, “Maybe it’s better for us to focus on our movements as a team, regardless of who our opponent is. But since we’re up against ZUS, it’s even more important that we execute our movements and system properly. Whatever the coaches want us to do, we need to adapt and execute it correctly.”

On the other hand, the Thunderbelles, led by Chai Troncoso, Chinnie Arroyo, Michelle Gamit, and Thea Gagate, will aim to continue their winning streak following a decisive victory over the Capital1 Solar Spikers. ZUS Coffee head coach Jerry Yee expressed a focus on effort and execution, saying, “We always strive to do our best. We’ll work hard, and then we just try to execute. If we get the win, that’s good for us; if not, then we keep going and just aim to be better.”

In the main game at 6 p.m., Farm Fresh will seek to bounce back from their loss to Chery Tiggo as they face Galeries Tower. The Foxies hold a 3-4 record, while the Highrisers are at 1-6. Farm Fresh head coach Benson Bocboc will depend on players like Trisha Tubu and Aly Bertolano, while Galeries Tower, under the guidance of Lerma Giron, will look to Ysa Jimenez and Jewel Encarnacio to lead their efforts.
