A married couple was killed after the car they were riding in collided with a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle at KM350 of Jalan Kuala Lumpur-Kota Bharu near the traffic lights of the Raub Central Spine Road (CSR), Batu 3, Lipis, last night. Raub district police chief Supt Mohd Shahril Abdul Rahman said in the incident at about 10.20 pm, Muhamad Anasar Kamarozaman, 34, a school security guard, and his wife, Zalina Ali, 40, a shoe shop assistant, died at the scene. The ringgit was slightly lower against the US dollar in the morning amid muted demand for the domestic unit after the recent gains. At 8.05 am, the ringgit declined to 4.6650/6700 against the greenback from Thursday’s close of 4.6600/6625. A policeman will be charged at the Kuala Kubu Bharu Magistrate’s Court here today with the murder of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah, whose body was discovered in a palm oil plantation. The man, stationed in Perak, will be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code. As of 7 am, media practitioners have already gathered outside the court complex to cover the case. Nur Farah Kartini, 25, a former student of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), was reported missing on July 10 and her body was found in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Sri Keledang, Hulu Bernam here, at
