KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s target to achieve high-income status is realistic, given its solid growth trajectory, economic stability and strong investor confidence. 47% of power lines affected by rail projects relocated

MANILA: The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has coordinated with electric utility provider Manila Electric Company (Meralco) to relocate power lines and other facilities that will be affected by the ongoing construction of several rail projects. To date, Meralco has completed 47 percent of almost 700 relocation work orders. DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista said they are grateful to Meralco for acting swiftly on the work orders. ‘We are here to collaborate with Meralco to ensure smooth implementation of our rail projects by coordinating the relocation of power facilities to be affected by the subsequent phases of these railway constructions,’ Bautista said

PBBM names new acting DTI chief
