The Persatuan Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Quran Malaysia (Permata Al-Quran) has appealed to the government to set up a Tahfiz Teacher Training Institute to produce qualified teachers and create standardised teaching methods for tahfiz schools. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds across several states in Peninsular Malaysia until 12 noon today.
