ILOILO CITY: A former barangay chairperson was shot dead in La Paz district here Monday. Ernie Poral, 63, former chair of Barangay Ingore, La Paz, was shot in the head by a gunman in Barangay Baldoza at 7:12 a.m. Police said Poral was buying feeds when the gunman shot him at close range. The suspect fled on a motorcycle.
