Cop injured in Isabela City grenade blast

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police are pursuing a suspect behind a grenade attack that injured a policeman in Isabela City, Basilan province, on Sunday night. Lt. Col. Parson Asadil, Isabela City police chief, identified the victim as Pat. Aldimar Salahuddin of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-9 (RMFB-9), who was on duty at the Community Police Action Center (COMPAC) in Barangay Sunrise when the explosion occurred around 9:45 p.m. Salahuddin was inside the COMPAC when the attacker threw a fragmentation grenade, Asadil said. One New Relief Centre Opened As Number Of Flood Evacuees Rise In Kedah

ALOR SETAR, Another flood relief centre has opened in Kedah, as the number of flood evacuees in Kedah rose to 917 people from 293 families as of 8 pm compared to 765 people from 253 families this evening. The new centre that opened is Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Alor Merah in Kota Setar, which is currently housing 31 people from seven families, bringing the current number of relief centres to eight. SEREMBAN, DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke remains the Negeri Sembilan DAP chief for the 2024/2027 term following today’s state party elections.
