Manila: The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Tuesday announced that all airports under its operation reported no damage as a result of Super Typhoon Nando, internationally known as Ragasa. Airports in Basco, Tuguegarao, Cauayan, Laoag, and Baguio confirmed that their facilities and runways remain safe and fully operational, according to a news release from CAAP.

According to Philippines News Agency, Nando impacted Northern Luzon for several days before making its exit from the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday. Despite the lack of damage to infrastructure, the inclement weather conditions led to the cancellation of six domestic and international flights by Philippine Airlines. The affected routes include PR 2688 Clark to Basco, PR 2689 Basco to Clark, PR 306 Manila to Hong Kong, PR 307 Hong Kong to Manila, PR 330 Manila to Xiamen, and PR 331 Xiamen to Manila.

The adverse weather has caused disruptions to 40 flights since Sunday, as reported by CAAP. As of 11 a.m. on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) indicated that although Nando exited the PAR on Tuesday morning, wind signals remain in effect for some regions in Northern Luzon.
