BOC Sells Confiscated Rolls-Royce for Nearly PHP23 Million

Manila:The Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Manila has successfully raised nearly PHP23 million from the sale of a luxury car that was confiscated last year. In a recent public auction, a 2021 Rolls-Royce Cullinan was sold for PHP22.95 million on October 30.

According to Philippines News Agency, the vehicle was among several motor vehicles seized in 2025 in Pasay City due to signs of unlawful importation. Upon verification, the BOC found no corresponding records in the Customs Processing Database (CPD), which prompted legal action under Section 1113 of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).

Furthermore, the BOC reported that public auctions from January to September have yielded a total collection of PHP146.677 million, with PHP115.889 million of that amount coming from the Port of Manila. All proceeds from these auctions are remitted to the Bureau of the Treasury, which supports government programs and essential services beneficial to the Filipino public.

The BOC emphasized its commitment to converting confiscated and forfeited goods into government funds through a lawful and transparent process. Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno highlighted that each successful auction underscores the positive returns from enforcement efforts, with proceeds aiding public treasury and funding beneficial programs.
