Manila: The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday invited stakeholders to participate in the beta testing of its upgraded Online Tax Estimator as part of its continuing drive for modernization and improved public service. In a statement, Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno highlighted that the enhanced tool will offer a more comprehensive and user-friendly breakdown of duties, taxes, and other lawful charges.
According to Philippines News Agency, the new system was developed with the assistance of the Management Information System and Technology Group. The BOC is encouraging the public to try out the beta version at https://customs.gov.ph/estimator and to share any comments and suggestions via [email protected].
Nepomuceno emphasized that feedback will be crucial in refining the tool, ensuring system efficiency, and enhancing overall performance. He also assured that the assessment of duties and taxes is guided by the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, Department of Finance orders, and other relevant regulations.
