Bacolod City Launches BCD Hotline for Streamlined Basic Services Assistance

Bacolod city: This highly urbanized city on Monday launched its own call center, dubbed 'BCD Hotline,' dedicated to quickly addressing the basic services-related concerns of residents. The centralized service hotline (034) 479-6100 is designed to respond to issues that can be acted upon by concerned departments and offices.

According to Philippines News Agency, in a press conference, Mayor Greg Gasataya emphasized that Bacolodnons should be able to call one number to reach the city government for their concerns. "When we conceptualized this, I thought that we should have a hotline. 6100 is the zip code of Bacolod City," he stated.

Available seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., the BCD Hotline will initially have 10 call center agents, based at the Bacolod City Government Center, to handle inquiries, follow-ups, appointment settings, and complaints. These services cover areas such as the Bacolod City Comprehensive Health Program, scholarship assistance, medical and burial assistance, social pension, garbage collection and sanitation, traffic management, infrastructure and public works, permits and licenses, and civil registrar services.

The system, created by the Management Information Technology and Computer Service, provides each caller with a reference or ticket number to track their concerns online at case6100.bacolodcity.gov.ph/track. For emergency services, Bacolodnons can call the city's geofenced 911 Emergency Response Hotline, which can determine the call's location from the start and match the caller with the nearest responder locations. The 911 call will be directly connected to the city's operations center.
