Davao: The Davao City Social Welfare and Development Office’s (CSWDO) Family Welfare program has announced a PHP1,000 monthly subsidy for 5,267 single parents in the city in 2025, an official revealed. According to Philippines News Agency, Julie Dayaday, head of the CSWDO, stated that the subsidy is being provided through a local executive order mandating that solo parents in the city receive a monthly cash allowance to supplement their income. DILG: Gov’t Electrification Program Lights Up 759 Villages Since 2022

Manila: The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said Wednesday that about 3.1 million Filipinos in 759 insurgency-cleared barangays have benefitted from rural electrification projects funded under the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) from 2022 to 2025. ‘Juris’ Building in Davao to Expand Legal Education for Mindanaoans

Davao: The Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc. (RMC) broke ground on Wednesday for the construction of the Justice Leopoldo M. Abellera building, promising to provide quality legal education not only to Dabawenyos but also to Mindanaoans. Expected to be completed in 2027, Dean Ramon Edison Batacan of the RMC College of Law said the five-story facility will feature 29-tiered classrooms, a library, a cafeteria, and an amphitheater-style lecture hall.
