Court Orders Transfer of Convicted Former Mayor Guo to Women’s Correctional Facility

Pasig: The Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) has mandated the transfer of former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Leal Guo from the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory to the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City. This order follows her conviction for the offense of qualified trafficking. According to Philippines News Agency, the transfer order was detailed in a four-page commitment document issued by Presiding Judge Annielyn Medes-Cabelis of Pasig RTC Branch 167. Along with Guo, the court also ordered the transfer of Rachelle Carreon and Jamielyn Santos Cruz to the CIW, which is operated by the Bureau of Corrections.
