Precaution Urged as HFMD Cases Rise in Ilocos Norte

Ilocos norte: The Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Ilocos Norte on Tuesday urged residents to observe minimum health standards to prevent the spread of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) amid a sharp increase in the number of cases. According to Philippines News Agency, there have been 622 HFMD cases recorded in the province as of Sept. 5 this year compared to only 45 during the same period last year. Bicol Inflation Rate Drops to 1% in August

Bicol: The inflation rate in the Bicol Region decreased from 1.7 percent in July to 1.0 percent in August, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA-5) reported Tuesday. Rey Merjilla, chief statistician specialist of PSA-5, highlighted key changes in the region’s economic indicators for the month.
