Manila: The Department of Tourism (DOT) launched the first Philippine Tourism Awards on Monday, honoring contributions of individuals and enterprises that have shaped the industry. Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco said the awardees “raised the standards” and showcased Filipino hospitality on the world stage. Bicol: A total of 81 wanted persons facing various criminal charges were arrested from September 1 to 7, the Police Regional Office in Bicol reported Tuesday. According to Philippines News Agency, Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) said among those apprehended were seven regional most wanted persons, four provincial, one city level, 10 municipal level, and 59 others.
