Power Supply Restored in 83% of La Union’s Households

San fernando: Electricity in 83.33 percent of households in La Union province has been restored as of Aug. 6, two weeks after Typhoon Emong (international name Co-May) lashed the province. Governor Mario Eduardo Ortega, in a statement on Thursday, has called for cooperation to further expedite the restoration of power. According to Philippines News Agency, Ortega had a dialogue with the two electric companies in the province and assured the residents of their prompt response as they work double time to fully restore the power to all affected households. Power in eight out of 20 localities has been fully restored.

Magnitude 6.4 Earthquake Strikes Off Kamchatka Coast

Kamchatka: A magnitude-6.4 earthquake was recorded off the coast of Kamchatka, the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences announced. “Magnitude: 6.4. Tokyo: The number of Japanese people living in Japan as of Jan. 1 fell by 908,574, or 0.75 percent, from a year before, marking the largest decrease on record and down for the 16th year in a row, a government survey showed Wednesday. Manila: The 2025 Shari’ah Special Bar Examinations (SSBE) passers took their oath as Shari’ah Counselors-at-Law and carried out roll signing ceremonies held at the Manila Hotel in Ermita, Manila on Wednesday. Another Affordable Housing Project for Government Workers Announced in Laoag

Laoag: Another housing project for government workers, complete with a swimming pool and a clubhouse, will soon rise in this city. Located in Barangay 5 San Pedro, the project, known as Ayuyang Residences, will consist of three low-rise condominium buildings, each with 30 units to be made available for government employees capable of paying monthly amortization.
