Bacolod: Anti-drug operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized 1.842 kg. of shabu worth PHP12.525 million and arrested nine persons in five separate buy-busts over the weekend, a police report on Sunday showed. Each gram of shabu has a standard drug price of PHP6,800. Zamboanga city: Authorities have seized PHP20.4 million worth of shabu and arrested a suspect identified as a high-value individual (HVI) during an anti-drug operation in this city early Sunday. Col. Diomarie Albarico, chief of the police’s Drug Enforcement Group’s Special Operation Unit, reported that the suspect, Nelson Lamon, 41, was apprehended in a buy-bust operation around 12:15 a.m. along Gen. Vicente Alvarez Street, Barangay Zone 4. According to Philippines News Agency, the arrest occurred after Lamon handed over a package containing suspected shabu to an undercover policeman in exchange for an ecological bag filled with 23 bundles of boodle money.

Kagoshima: The 50th H-2A rocket carrying the GOSAT-GW greenhouse gas and water cycle observation satellite, nicknamed Ibuki GW, was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture in the early hours of Sunday. Bulacan: Anti-drug operatives arrested two high-value individuals (HVIs) and seized around PHP700 million worth of suspected shabu in Bulacan, the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) said on Sunday. In a statement, PDEG chief Brig. Gen. Edwin Quilates said the suspects, both Chinese nationals identified as alias Ry, 40, and Loan, 55, were arrested in Barangay Bulihan, Plaridel on Saturday.
