Manila: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) evacuated 561,528 individuals and 161,527 families from six regions as of Sunday morning ahead of Super Typhoon Pepito (Man-yi). According to Philippines News Agency, the evacuations were conducted by approximately 6,790 personnel as part of the PCG’s monitoring activities in the Bicol, Southern Tagalog, Northwestern Luzon, Northeastern Luzon, National Capital Region (NCR), and Eastern Visayas regions. Pangasinan: An estimated 98 families from Pangasinan and La Union left their homes as of Saturday night due to storm surge threats from Super Typhoon Pepito (international name Man-yi).
